Early Middle College at EHS

Escanaba High School’s new Early Middle College ( EMC) is off to a spectacular start!  62 students took advantage of the 5th year opportunity to obtain a free year at Bay College this school year.  So far, it has proven to be a very successful start to a worthwhile program.  Currently, we have 59 seniors and 51 juniors also committed to taking part in the 5th year program at Bay College in the upcoming years. Each year, approximately 50% of the graduating class decides to go to Bay, so taking part in this program is a very cost efficient way to take a first step into post secondary education. A 5th year program provides students supports and wrap around services to ensure students are ready and successful in their transition to a certificate or college experience.
